もみ消し、不毛を搭載したマナ否定型スレッショルドで大規模大会において好成績を残したDavid Caplanがカナダ人であったことから。

このデッキが構築された当時、ヨーロッパとアメリカでは地域メタ等の影響でよく見かけるカードが違ったが、「当時アメリカではあまり使われていなかったカード」を寄せ集めて作ったデッキを冗談でTeam Ameriacaと呼んだのが定着したとのこと。

①初期に搭載されていたマンガラカラカスコンボの回避が難しいので、逃れることのできないものの慣用句を採用

以下は筆者の考察。このデッキの誕生はTSPで《コロンドールのマンガラ/Mangara of Corondor》が出た頃であり、③は時系列的におかしい。2007年頃のD&Tのリストを引用するが、まだ刷られていないサリアは無論のこと、《リシャーダの港/Rishadan Port》も採用されていない。

また、このデッキが出来る以前、レガシーに白ウィニーに類いするデッキが他になかったわけではない。エンジェルストンピィも強いかはともかく存在はしていた。従って②も微妙。
というわけで残ったのは①。やはり、構築当初間違いなくこのデッキの顔であり、他のデッキとこのデッキを分ける最大の特徴であった、カラカス＆マンガラ(+薬瓶)コンボが由来だと考えるのが適切なのではないだろうか。
